Nick's Story
My journey into the world of DJing began at 17, sparked by a shared passion with a friend. Investing in my first pair of vinyl decks, I spent countless hours at home, self-taught, mastering the basics of mixing.
After two dedicated years, I landed my first industry role as a lighting jock at Buzz, and then Escape nightclub in my hometown of Margate. Here, spinning only vinyl and house music, I quickly learned to adapt, expanding my music catalogue to meet the demands of a commercial crowd. For the next seven years, I was a permanent fixture at the club three nights a week, where my technical skills and crowd-reading intuition were forged in a live, high-energy environment.
From there, my career was non-stop. I worked across many bars and clubs throughout East Kent, while also taking on private functions like birthday parties. My versatility grew further when I explored other forms of DJing with internet radio station Groove London.
My reputation also took me abroad, where I spent the summer seasons of 2006 in Ayia Napa and 2008 in Zante, bringing my sound to international party crowds.
After returning to the UK in late 2008, I balanced other work before the calls for my talent inevitably brought me back, entertaining the masses in clubs, bars, and private events. This successful blend of private and commercial work continued until the industry was paused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
In late 2022, driven by a lifetime of experience, I took the plunge and founded 2K Entertainment. The company is dedicated to providing professional DJ services for any event type across Kent and the South East.
Today, with a recognised brand and a supportive network in the industry, I channel that 20+ years of diverse experience—from vinyl in Margate to radio in London and beach clubs abroad—directly into your celebration.
